When I think of the news, I usually think about platforms that spread information surrounding worldly topics like politics, the environment, or economy. Something that resonated deeply with me from the article was that the news can also be used as a tool to learn about the daily lives or way of living of people from other countries or cultures. For example, the article discusses how reading news pieces that are written in English can help with not only learning the language, but also context and social trends.
